Being a TRIO or GEAR UP alum means being part of a community that doesn’t end when you graduate. Whether you participated in TRIO or GEAR UP years ago or recently completed your program, there are plenty of ways to stay connected with fellow alumni and the MKN community.

Here are 5 easy ways to stay involved and connected with MKN alumni!

1. Follow MKN on Social Media

Stay up to date on alumni opportunities, events, resources, and stories by following MKN on social media. Our Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn pages are great places to see what other alumni are doing and learn about ways to get involved.

You might even see yourself or someone you know featured in an Alumni Spotlight!

2. Join the MKN Alumni Directory

Want to stay connected with other TRIO and GEAR UP alumni across Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska? Add your information to the MKN Alumni Directory.

The directory helps alumni connect with others who share similar experiences and creates opportunities to build professional and personal connections across the region.

3. Share Your Story

Your TRIO or GEAR UP experience made a difference in your journey—and your story could make a difference for someone else.

Consider submitting an Alumni Spotlight, testimonial, or story about your experience. Share what you’ve accomplished, what you learned from your program, or how TRIO or GEAR UP continues to influence your life.

You never know who might need to hear your story!

4. Participate in Alumni Events and Opportunities

MKN offers opportunities for alumni to connect, learn, and share their experiences. From career and graduate school panels to networking opportunities and other virtual events, there are many ways to participate.

You don’t have to attend every event. Find an opportunity that interests you, sign up, and connect with other alumni along the way.
